Our story started long before export paperwork - it began on the road. Our father spent his youth traveling Ethiopia's coffee regions with our grandfather, learning how communities work and how much care goes into what the land produces. Coffee captured his attention and never let go. For 30 years, he worked directly with farmers and local markets, watching how great coffee often lost value between the farm gate and international buyers.
In 2022, we - two brothers, one based in Ethiopia, one Ethiopian-Canadian - formalized what our father built into Ethio Coffee Export PLC. We took decades of relationships, hard-earned trust, and hands-on experience and built an export operation around it. Today, we source from our own estates and trusted partners, prepare lots with the care our father taught us, and export to importers who value traceability and consistency.
