COFFEE FROM WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
Our story didn't start with export licenses - it started in the roads of the vast land of Ethiopia. Our father spent his youth traveling Ethiopia's coffee highlands with our grandfather, drinking buna with farmers, sleeping in villages, and learning what the land means to the people who've worked it for generations. Coffee wasn't a business to him - it was a living tradition. For 30 years, he worked in Ethiopia's local coffee markets, building relationships with producers, understanding quality at its source, and earning trust that can't be manufactured overnight.
In 2022, we, two brothers - one rooted in Ethiopia, one Ethiopian-Canadian - took what he built locally and made it international. Our father was a trusted local trader; we became Ethio Coffee, operating as semi-producers with direct involvement in production and bridging that expertise to the global market. We're not intermediaries. We're the ones walking the washing stations in Guji during harvest, overseeing processing at partner mills, cupping samples in Addis, and personally ensuring what leaves Ethiopia is what lands in your port with consistent, sample-to-bag accuracy. This is our heritage - the same highlands that gave the world Arabica, the same families our father knew, the same respect for what coffee means here.
